13 Acronyms you can add to your Medical Degree

Are you a doctor unsatisfied with having just the MBBS or MBch.B initials after your name and you want some more initials to prop up your CV? Or are you looking for a Post graduate Medical degree without necessarily doing residency?

It could also be that you are looking for a niche that will add more value to you and hopefully more earnings or expertise.

1. DCH: Post graduate Diploma in Child Health
2. Dip Skin cancer: Diploma in Skin cancer
3. Dip HIV: Diploma in HIV
4. MMed: Master of Medicine
5. PMP: Project Management Professional/ degree
6. Advanced Professional Diploma in Hospital Management
7. MBA. A Masters in Business Administration is extremely useful for the modern day doctor. The world of medicine has advanced much more than clinical work. I have one. (More on my MBA journey later).
8. MPH. A masters in Public Health: this is very popular
9. Post graduate Diploma in Anaesthesia
10. Masters of Medical Science
11. MRSPH: Member Royal society of Public Health
12. NEBOSH: National Examinations Board in Occupational Safety and Health: For those interested in occupational/ environmental safety and health
13. FIHIMN: Fellow Institute for Health Insurance and Managed Care of Nigeria (FIHIMN)
