Back Pain Relief (Day 1)
Hello! welcome to Daily Health Check with Dr Gabby. Today we will talk about Back pain relief. As we go about our day to day lives, doubtless we would have had instances of feeling back pain, this can be due to age, lifestyle, trauma or disease processes.
Back pain could also be acute that is happening for just a short time or chronic that is lasting for several months or even years.
In this series we would talk about back pain, the causes, signs and symptoms, how to diagnose, prevention and treatment options amongst others.
Have you ever had back pain? What did you about it?
How common is back pain and who is more at risk?
Did you know that Back pain affects 8 out of 10 adults! Are you surprised? Yes it is that common so you’re not alone.
Another fact is that low back pain occurs less in developing countries like ours than developed ones, why do you think it is more in developed countries?
Could it be as a result of technological advancement or race and genes? I will leave you to ruminate on that. Did you know also, that chronic low back pain can lead to disability? I’m sure nobody wants this.
Join me tomorrow as we talk about the causes of back pain. This is Dr Gabby wishing you a great day. Stay healthy!
This is a great topic. I have been experiencing lower back pain that sometimes makes it difficult/painful to stand up straight. Sometimes the pains rises to my mid back and on other ocassions it is mostly concentrated on the lower portion of my back. Do you think accupuncture may help relieve the pain?
I lean more towards Eastern medicine!!! Natual pain relievers
